Downhill Skiing

In Thunder Bay, Loch Lomond on the south side of town offers Skiing, snowboarding and snowtubing.  An abundance of lifts ensure that there are rarely any lift lines. Loch Lomond offers a vertical of 750 feet and a longest run of 2.5 miles.

 

Just north of the city, Mount Baldy, whose vertical is 2100 feet and longest run is 5280 feet, also offers ample lifts, night lighting and great snowmaking. 

 

Superior Slopes in Marathon is an Alpine ski facility with 11 downhill runs, a 350 foot vertical, double chair lift, ski chalet with fireplace,ski rentals and night skiing -- all in an amazing setting overlooking Lake Superior.
