From our location on Lake Superior near Wawa, Ontario, we offer day trips and instruction
for
beginners,
guided sea kayak trips, guided canoe trips, guided voyageur canoe trips and
guided hikes
in the Lake Superior
region of Canada; we offer certified sea kayak instruction
and canoe instruction;
we organize paddling festivals
and workshops at our Rock Island
Lodge and abroad; we offer
equipment
rentals and vehicle shuttles for
paddlers, hikers and
outdoor enthusiasts throughout on the
Canadian side of Lake Superior; and we organize
and coordinate custom outdoors programs.
Whats more, we have beach campsites and group shelters at the mouth of the
Michipicoten
River;
Rock Island
Lodge features four double occupancy bed and breakfast-style rooms
with en suite, each
room overlooking
Lake
Superior.
The Naturally Superior Adventures site is surrounded by wilderness. To the south, 120
kilometres of
coast is
protected by Lake Superior Provincial Park; beyond is another
100-odd kilometres of largely
undeveloped
wilderness to Sault Ste. Marie. To the north,
the Superior Highlands coast and the wild
shore of Pukaskwa
National Park comprise
180 kilometres of some of the most isolated wilderness
in Ontario and are regarded as
a
world class backcountry paddling experience.
